  1. Happy Birthday Google! The most famous search engine is celebrating its 14th anniversary.
  2. Android Is 4 Years Old! Last Sunday, one of the most popular mobile operating systems – Android, developed by the Google corporation, celebrated its fourth birthday.
  3. Yandex Marks Its 15th Anniversary – the largest search engine in Russia marks its 15th anniversary.
  4. Dive to the Great Barrier Reef on Google Maps. The first underwater panoramas were added to Google Maps.
  5. Adobe Edge Tools & Services.
  6. W3C Plans to Release HTML 5 in 2014 and HTML 5.1 – in 2016.
  7. Google Docs Is Bidding Farewell to the Obsolete Document Formats. From the 1st of October 2012 Google Docs won't provide support of the old file formats of Microsoft Office 1997-2003: .doc, .xls and .ppt.
  8. MySpace Updates. Social network's owners have announced that a new version of the resource will be built "from the very beginning."

  1. Firefox Is 10 Years Old. Another birthday in this week's digest.
  2. RoboHornet: a new approach to testing the performance of browsers.
  3. Google Released RoboHornet to test the performance of browsers and Microsoft launched Robohornet Pro.
  4. Release of Chrome 22 web-browser. Google introduced Chrome 22, which is available for Linux, Mac OS X and Windows platforms.
  5. Firefox's Schedule of Changes. Mozilla project developers announced an extension of time needed for the release of Firefox 18 that will lead to a shift in the production schedule for Firefox 18.
  6. Samsung Creates Its Own Browser.
  7. Internet Explorer 10 Is 8% Faster Than Google Chrome 20.
