I have been working with ZFort for slightly more than one year. They have consistently delivered high quality results and have built and continue to enhance an integrated web application for me that receives high marks for both its aesthetics and ease of use. They seem to thrive and deliver on complex challenges. Unarguably, they are at the top of the list of eLance providers that I have used and would recommend without reservation. Development for my project was initially bid on by 35 providers. While ZForts timeframe to complete the project of about 8 weeks was the longest of any bidder, and their price was in the middle to high range compared to the others, I selected ZFort for several reasons: 1) an outstanding track record of feedback both quantitatively and qualitatively; 2) the high percentage of feedback received relative to the total number of projects implemented; and, 3) the average dollar value of projects was significantly higher than most other eLance bidders. In hindsight this was an application that was probably more complex than any eLance bidder could imagine with a timeframe far too ambitious given the level of complexity. Was development a smooth and efficient process from start to finish with on time delivery? Hardly, but if you have ever been involved with software application development you can appreciate that its a rare project that actually runs that way. To ZForts credit they stuck to their original commitment and built a world class application with functionality far exceeding the site it replaced. Having worked with other eLance providers who have walked away too easily from much lesser commitments I respect ZForts integrity to deliver on their obligations. I cringe when I think of what might have happened had I selected a provider who said they could do the project in 1/4 of the time at of the cost. So, heres the bottom line: These guys did a great job. They are extremely bright, talented and not intimidated by a good challenge. Im truly impressed with the application they built. Revisiting my selection criteria above, I am pleased to contribute my feedback to their already outstanding track record and high response rate; and, to a lesser extent, helping to maintain the high average dollar value of their projects. If you have a complex project I highly recommend that ZFort be the firm to do it.
